Having had numerous collaborations especially with artistes from Zimbabwe alike, Lil’ Dizzie gets featured on this tune coming off his recently released 2019 single titled “Club Inferno.”
Following an eventful 2018 musical campaign which saw him release three major singles (“Your Love,” “King Deuces” & “E-Money“), Nigeria rap star and hard-working independent act, Lil’ Dizzie, is set to get the ball rolling as he starts of the year 2019 on a high note; known widely for his international collaborations, he definitely went out of his way on this new single which is a switch from the norm – produced by Zimbabwe‘s very own Brythreesixty and featuring Mo’ Beatz, Lil’ Dizzie unlocks his first single for the year 2019 titled “Club Inferno” – just as the title implies, this one definitely is set to rock the clubs and dance floors and get a lot of massive airplay and publicity. You know there is something about this life that we ourselves can’t figure out, especially when you think you got everything all figured out. This piece is written by one of Nigerian’s best, a rapper and a messenger. You see where people are making it and getting waves, doesn’t mean everyone will get the same credit, but God truly works in ways we can’t measure. Trying another environment can take you places. This sponsored piece is inspiring and motivating if you truly see the meaning of what it contains.
Still trying to figure out some issues with Zimbabwe music industry generally. In 2014, Simba Tagz dropped a song featuring Nigerian Rapper “Ice Prince” titled “DON’T LEAVE” the hype was low and publicity wasn’t widely accepted. Zimbabwe artist Brythreesixty and Nigeria hiphop rapper “Lil Dizzie” dropped a song titled “SHAY BAII” in 2015. This song was accepted generally in and out of Africa ; Even got an award as well in Nigeria for #BestCollaboration . This song never got nominated / merited in the Zimbabwe music platform.
In 2017. Another Zimbabwe artist with the name “Jah Prayzah” featured another Nigeria artist “Davido” in a song titled “My Lille” which again wasn’t huge on publicity areas until the visuals tried to pick itself up but still not generally accepted. The same year, Zimbabwe artist “Brythreesixty” had a collaboration again with Nigeria award winning artist “Lil Dizzie” in a song “GBA GBE”. This song trended in some part in Nigeria, UK, Ghana, South Africa and Zimbabwe as well. This same song got nominated again for best collaboration in Nigeria but came 1st runner up. Have been wondering and looking at the Zimbabwe music generally I feel there is something wrong. Anybody can have personal issues with another directly but it’s totally unfair not to acknowledge one’s talent. I’m surprised why a Zimbabwe artist will be nominated twice in Nigeria and not in his own country. It hurts and I just had to speak for a brother. Me working with Zimbabwe artist have been great and also knowing more artist like Mclyne Beat, Dexter, Sharky, Eldeeper, Te3vo and so on just made me love Zim music more with recent collaborations with them. I have no problem working with any Zim artist but my concern is the team behind Zim music platforms should take time, come together and review some songs that should have been awarded. I got massive mad love for Zimbabwe and will always do.
Lil Dizzie I respect you anytime my brother, your game and hustle will pay very soon IJN. You give me drive not to look at the crowd, but to create my own crowd in a different dimension.
