The Pace Of Endurance

People exercising at fitness gym

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with ENDURANCE the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne (Hebrews 12: 1-2 NLT).

I was going for a jog on the treadmill the other day. It was the first time that I had been running in a couple of weeks, so my stamina wasn’t quite where I would have liked it to be. Foolishly, I still tried to complete my workout as if I had been consistently training. Needless to say, this was a mistake. About halfway through the workout, I began to get tired and cramp up. Just as I was about to jump off the treadmill and give up, something rose up within me and I began to speak God’s word over myself. I began repeating over and over, “Greater is he that is within me, than he that is in the world.”

I had to slow down the treadmill a little bit and run at a slower pace, but that encouragement was enough to keep my legs moving. For the rest of the workout, I felt the Holy Spirit guiding me. He told me when to slow the treadmill down, and at what point I could speed it up again. He knew exactly how much I could take and for how long if I was going to reach my goal at the end of the workout. When it was all said and done, I experienced a little more pain that I would have hoped, but I completed my goal for distance in pretty good time. God knew exactly what pace I needed to run at in order to run with the endurance to reach the finish line. This is exactly what he promises to do in our race of faith.

Running this race of faith can be downright confusing and difficult sometimes. When we hand over our lives to Christ, we are making the commitment to trust Him no matter how we feel or what the circumstances look like. We are putting faith in His sovereignty, and believing that all things will eventually come together for good, even when it doesn’t make worldly sense. But it is so awesome that we serve a God who didn’t just come and say, “Here is the goal. I want you to run 1,000 miles over the next 40 years at a pace of 8 minutes per mile. Good luck!” Thankfully, we serve a God who says that He will not only run with us every step of the way, but He will even order our steps (Psalm 37:23 & Proverbs 16:9).

The fact of the matter is that God can see so much more than we can see in our limited understanding. His ways are so much higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:9). He knows more about our race of faith that we could ever conceive. He knows exactly where we are. He knows when it is time for us to speed up and when it is time to slow down. He knows the exact pace at which we can run if we are going to run with the endurance necessary to fulfill the plans He has laid before us.

What does that look like in our lives? Sometimes, it may take the form of a tremendous obstacle or hardship that God is using to send a message that it is time to slow down and connect with Him. It could be that He is allowing that obstacle to redirect our path in order to protect us from an even more difficult obstacle down the road. It could be the exact opposite. We could be in a season where it seems like nothing can get in our way. He may be blessing us with a mighty capacity to run far and fast because He knows that we are currently in a place where we can sustain that pace and not lose sight of Him.

No matter what your present situation is, God knows exactly where you are and exactly what you need. He knows if it is time to speed up or slow down. Your only job is to relinquish control of the process and trust Him. Not only can He see your finish line, but He ordained it. He designed you to run at a certain pace for a specified period of time. The more we submit to that design, the less painful the process and the greater our endurance. Lean into God today, ask Him if it is time to speed up or slow down. Give Him control, and let Him establish your pace of endurance.

Why

Why is Christ worthy to be called the Lord?
With wide wonder I ponder the ways;
He’s the Prince of Peace and Lord of Life
Who with fervor goes after the strays.

Why do I love the Savior so?
Oh the ways are too numerous to count;
Were the whole world mine as a gift to give
It would be an insufficient amount.

Why do I cling to my Saviors side
Forsaking things I once held dear?
It’s because I’ve found Someone of infinite worth
The Great Savior who saved me from fear.

Why do I follow a God I can’t see,
And seek to walk in His steps?
It’s because He’s exceedingly gracious to me
I’m a child that He loves and accepts.

Why do I think the great God and King
Would lavish such favor on to me?
It’s a question I still often ask myself
Why He’d die to set my soul free.

Why do I choose to live a life
That could lead to much suffering and pain?
It’s because this world is not my home
And to suffer for Christ is great gain.

Why do I believe that Christ the Lord
Can cleanse the most sin stained hearts?
It’s because He truly has done it for me
By the mercy and grace He imparts.

Why do I hope in a life without end
With no death, sorrow, suffering nor pain?
Because Jesus has gone to prepare a place
In which peace, love and righteousness reign.

These Words Will Uplift Your Spirit Daily

In moments of worry, stress, and turmoil we have to simply take the time to turn to our inner man and say ” Lord, what do you have to say about this?” If we listen in faith, He will speak to us and reveal to us the truth of that situation.

Always maintain a good attitude in a bad situation. Just like joseph did that resulted in God’s favour in his life.

Just like Esther in the Bible, if you find yourself in a situation in which you are being harrassed, persecuted or discriminated against, if someone is trying to take something from you that rightfully belongs to you- whether its your job, your home, your reputation or anything in life- don’t try to retaliate by seeking natural favour. Instead, believe God supernatural favour, because despite how hopeless things may look from a human perspective, God can lift up and He can bring down.

Every single day when you go to work, you should say, “I believe that i have favour in this place today. I believe that the light of the Lord shines upon me and that i have favour with everyone, with God and with man”.

Grace is the power to change us and to change our circumstances.

You don’t do as i used to do and try to gain acceptance by playing up to everyone you meet. You don’t have to be phoney in order to impress people. You don’t have to connive and manipulate and flatter, working and worrying day and night trying to say and do all the right things so you will be well thought of. Like me, you can give up all that because you are no longer seeking natural favour, but recieving supernatural favour.

Whenever we quit trying to do it ourselves, and start allowing the Lord to give us His favour, it creates within us a thankful and grateful heart.

We are always more grateful for what we know we don’t deserve than we are for what we think we do deserve. That is human nature. That’s one reason why the Lord resists the proud, but give grace to the humble.

You have to quit seeing yourself as just the opposite of what He says you are. You must learn to change your self-image.

The person who has developed an attitude of gratitude is one who is thankful and grateful for every single thing that God is doing in his or her life day by day.

This kind of lifestyle of thanksgiving is evidence of a grateful heart. The Lord revealed to me that if a person has a grateful heart for what he already has, it’s an indication that, the individual is mature enough to receive other blessings.

“Thinking and believing that happiness is in achievements of all desires and expectations, we will spend the whole life in search of happiness without success, with all unnecessary stress and misery.” Josh Brendan

You are not free until you have no need to impress anybody. RealKimTalk

Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.

Hope is wishing something would happen. Faith is believing something will happen. Courage is making something happen.

Dead Fish Or Smart Fish

This post was originally posted on The Daily Positive.

When you genuinely don’t know what to do or where to go, you are in a blessed position. It’s time to stop “trying hard” to figure it out, and instead start tuning into life around you. You are being guided. If your mind is still, your heart is open, and you are patient… the way will become clear.

There’s an old saying, “Only dead fish go with the flow”.

🌊🌊🐠🌊🌊

The meaning of this saying is pretty clear…

Fish swim with the current or against it, but they are always intentional and active, going somewhere.

If not, and they were simply going with the flow, they would be dead. I’m not sure if that is true, but we get the point.

Applying that to life as a human being, you might accidentally think that “going with the flow” means you are inactive, unintentional, directionless and not fully living.

Today let’s reflect on an alternative viewpoint to this – because mindfulness, conscious living, faith and spirituality all teaches us differently about the VALUE and PLACE of going with the flow at certain times of our life.

Let’s say there are 3 ways you could be living right now:

🐟 You’re a fish on a mission achieving your goals – you know what you want, you’re working on it, your life has a clear vision and you’re feeling good about that.

🐟 You’re a fish without clarity on what you want or where you’re going – as a result it’s a little challenging! But, you’re a smart fish, so you’ve decided to go with the flow of life as best you can, and you’re paying attention to your inner voice, to the energy of life around you, to opportunities and synchronicities – ready for guidance and direction to become clear in divine and order timing. You trust.

🐟 You’re a fish who has given up and you’ve stopped participating in life completely. You don’t know what you want or where to go, and you’ve closed your mind and heart. There is no interest in or presence to the incredible force of life and divinity all around you… so you’re highly unlikely to see any guidance when it comes knocking on your door.

Should you ever face a point in your life where your direction is unclear, this does not mean you have no direction.

It means you are in a blessed position for an exciting, new, divinely ordered unfolding to take place for you and through you.

It only requires that you be open and patient, and that you are ready to say YES to whatever intuitive nudges or signs might show up to guide you.

Repost: 15 Signs The Only Problem With Your Life Is The Way You Think About It

1. You generally spend more time thinking about your life than you do actually living it. You spend more time dissecting problems than you do coming to solutions, more time daydreaming than you do asking yourself what those thoughts indicate is lacking or missing in your waking life, or coming up with new solutions as opposed to actually committing to the ones that are already in front of you. You’ve replaced “reflection” with “experience,” and wonder why you feel unfulfilled.

2. You don’t find wonder in the simple pleasures, the way you once did. You think nature is boring and “play” is for children and there’s nothing awe-inspiring about a shaft of light through the window or a stranger’s smile or a spring day or your favorite book in bed. When you’ve lost sight of the magic of the little things, it’s not because the magic has gone elsewhere, only that you’ve chosen to disregard it in favor of something else.

3. You have something you wanted in the past, but you don’t enjoy it the way you thought you would, or you’ve replaced your desire for it with a desire for something else. Bring yourself back to the feeling of wanting what you have more than anything, the way you once did. Try to embody that. You’re making yourself prouder than you realize.

4. If you were to tell your younger self what your life is like now, they’d be in disbelief. You seriously could not have imagined that your life would turn out as well as it did – that the worst things became turning points, not endless black holes of emotion.

5. You think of money in terms of “obligation” not “opportunity.” Your mindset is: “I have to pay my bills,” as opposed to “I get to pay my bills, which house me, clothe me, and feed me, and that I can pay for by myself.” If you don’t value money by appreciating what it does for you, you’ll never feel as though you have enough.

6. You think you don’t have enough friends. You’re measuring the connection in your life by a quantity, not a quality, assuming that the problem is not enough around you, when it’s really that there’s not enough inside you.

7. You’re either over-reliant or under-attached to the friends you do have. You either don’t keep in touch enough or you get easily frustrated because you think that friends should make you feel “better” and “happy” in an unrealistic way. So you think that the only way to achieve that is to over-bond yourself to them, or disregard them when they don’t fulfill the role you’ve imposed on them (hence your feeling as though you don’t have enough!)

8. You imagine your life as though someone else was seeing it. Before you make a decision, you recite a storyline in your head. It goes something like this: “she went to college, she got this job, she married this guy after a terrible breakup, and all was well.” This is what happens when your happiness starts to come from how other people feel about you, as opposed to how you feel about yourself.

9. Your goals are outcomes, not actions. Your goals are to “be successful” or “see a certain number in the bank” as opposed to “enjoy what you do each day, no matter what you’re doing” or “learn to love saving more than frivolously spending.” Outcomes are just ideas. Actions are results.

10. You assume you have time. When it comes to doing what really matters to you – reconnecting with family, writing that book, finding a new job – you say “I’m only [such and such an age] I have a long time.” If you assume you “have time” to do something, or that you’ll do it later, you probably don’t want it as much as you think you do. There isn’t more time. You don’t know. You could be dead tomorrow. It doesn’t mean you have to get everything done today, but that there’s rarely an excuse not to start.

11. A bad feeling becomes a bad day. You think that experiencing negative emotions is the result of something being wrong in your life, when in reality, it’s usually just a part of being human. Anxiety serves us, pain serves us, depression does too. These things are signals, communications, feedbacks, and precautions that literally keep us alive. Until you begin thinking this way, all you will perceive is that “good feelings mean keep going” and “bad feelings mean stop,” and wonder why you’re paralyzed.

12. You think that being uncomfortable and fearful means you shouldn’t do something. Being uncomfortable and fearful means you definitely should. Being angry or indifferent means you definitely shouldn’t.

13. You wait to feel motivated or inspired before you act. Losers wait to feel motivated. People who never get anything done wait to feel inspired. Motivation and inspiration are not sustaining forces. They crop up once in awhile, and they’re nice while they’re present, but you can’t expect to be able to summon them any given hour of the day. You must learn to work without them, to gather your strength from purpose, not passion.

14. You maladaptively daydream. Maladaptive daydreaming is when you imagine extensive fantasies of an alternative life that you don’t have to replace human interaction or general function. Most people experiencing it while listening to music and/or moving (walking, riding in a car, pacing, swinging, etc.) Rather than cope with issues in life, you just daydream to give yourself a “high” that eliminates the uncomfortable feeling.

15. You’re saving up your happiness for another day. You’re sitting on the train on the way to work, thinking how beautiful the sunrise looks, and how you’d like to read your favorite book, but you don’t in favor of checking your email again. You begin to feel a sense of awe at something simple and beautiful, and stop yourself, because your dissatisfaction fuels you. You’re creating problems in one area of your life to balance out thriving in another, because your happiness is in a mental container.

Question: What Is The Purpose Of Life? The Powerful Answer That Set Us Free

This beautiful inspiring piece was originally written in follow the light within blog.

Good morning guys, trust your weekend was awesome. Great 👍 Good to start the week with a small push of motivation about purpose.

Back to the main reason we here today.
This for me was the million dollar question. Sometimes we all just seem to aimlessly roam the earth with no purpose. There seems to be constant war, pain, and disappointment. It’s easy to fall into anxiety and depression. I know it is for me. Do we all just work all our lives to gain social security and then die? Do we purely come to just fight for survival then die? Do I really consider that purpose?

These are the questions I had. I asked them with tears in my eyes as I began to meditate. This was actually one of the first questions I asked God. but set me free all the same.

But before I give you the answer I received, I would like to say a prayer. I take my teachings and knowledge to others very serious. What you tell and teach others can be life changing, and I hold much responsibility in my hands to give my best.

Dear God,

I don’t teach to change anyones religion or personal beliefs, but to lead them to you in thire own way and time. I’m only here to enlighten them with new information that inspired me, and then let thire hearts lead the way to you. I want you to enter thire hearts and lead them to you the way you see fit. Please allow me to give them accurate information and keep my heart pure with only the best intentions. To God be all the glory!

Amen

Okay, so here we go! This is the answer I received.

Purpose? Why do you feel like you need a definite “purpose”. Existence itself is the main purpose. Why can’t existence itself feel like purpose? Why do you feel like you shouldn’t exist? Stop and smell the flowers. Enjoy the breath of life! Take note from the animals. They don’t fret and panic to find purpose. They simply live and let nature run it’s course.

The flowers just bask in the sun and enjoy the glory.
That’s how I intended life to be for all my creation, big and small. But, if you really feel like you badly need to serve a “purpose”, my purpose for humankind was to follow your heart. If you allowed nature to run it’s course, you would do what you enjoy. You like to call them hobbies. But originally they weren’t supposed to be just hobbies, but opportunities to do what you love. To do the things that makes your heart sing everyday that you wake up. I gave everyone gifts and talents for a reason! Go ahead and be an artist if you love to paint. Or be an author or film maker if you were blessed with an big and colorful imagination! Do arts and crafts if you enjoy creating things ! The list is limitless! You were supposed to let your passions and gifts flourish!

But, all of that was ruined by greed and corruption. You put your gifts and passions aside to work a 9 to 5 and called your true purpose a hobby! Now you work only for the sole purpose to make money- not to contribute your gifts and enjoy life. As long as the system of greed stands, you will always be a slave to the system you built! I definitely did not build this system you live! You can make a change by simply supporting the small guy who possess love and talent for what he/ she does. Support each other’s dreams and the chains would be released a little at a time!

And don’t forget family and friends. Life is nothing without those you love to share it with! Your sole purpose is to love and be loved.

The purpose of life was to be surrounded by love of all sorts and kind. You are an extention of me, and I an extension of you. And we are made of love and passion in its purest form.

That was the answer I received!

Now you can take that answer and apply it to your life the way you see fit! And if you don’t agree with the answer, allow it to make you stand strong in your truth and let God lead you were you are supposed to go!

After reading this article, I felt a push and positive mindset about my purpose. To do what I love and as much as possible be with people I love and relate with.

I hope this article also gives you that positive aura on your purpose in life.

Have a blessed day guys.

There Is Something Liberating About Letting God Write Your Story

There is something comforting about letting God handle your difficulties; the things you can’t control and the things that need a miracle. When you leave it all up to him and when you trust that somehow he will get you through it.

Pinterest
There is something reassuring about letting God handle the consequences; that’s why you take risks, that’s why you try, that’s why you fail and that is why you make mistakes. There is something fearless about letting God help you overcome your fears and there is something safe in walking into the unknown when you have enough faith.

There is something peaceful about loneliness when you know God is with you, when you know he sees what no one sees, when you believe he understands what you can’t explain and when you trust that he is listening to the words you’re not saying.

At the end of the day everything is written by the hands of God. He is the only one who can change your story, erase it and rewrite it, keep it exactly like it’s supposed to be or write miracles in your destiny because of how much you’ve prayed for them.

No matter how many times we punch the wall or try so hard to avoid something, if God wants it in our story, it will happen and it will be part of it.

Why are some stories easier than others? Why are some stories better than others? Why are all stories not equally fair?

Because simply God gives everyone what they can handle and sometimes we think we can handle so much more than what we have but God knows that we can’t. Handling too much or getting everything you ever asked for can sometimes destroy you instead of building you up.

And sometimes you get everything you want and then it gets taken away from you and this is also part of your story.

Your story is all about winning and losing, destruction and rebirth, pain and joy, consistency and change, faith and disbelief, safety and fear.

Your story can drive you crazy if you’re too attached to it and if you’re constantly questioning it and trying to change it.

I think part of the reason your story is so crazy is that God wants you to know that there is nothing constant except for him. That there is no one better to lean on and trust except for him, that there is no one who will bring you what you want except for him and there is no one who can rewrite your destiny except for him.

There is something liberating about handing the pen to God and letting him do His work.

The Three Races: You Have Won More Than The Race You Had Before

In old times, fable retells the story of the young athletic boy hungry for success, for whom winning was everything and success was measured by such a result.

One day, the boy was preparing himself for a running competition in his small native village, himself and two other young boys to compete. A large crowd had congregated to witness the sporting spectacle and a wise old man, upon hearing of the little boy, had travelled far to bear witness also.

The race commenced, looking like a level heat at the finishing line, but sure enough the boy dug deep and called on his determination, strength and power… he took the winning line and was first. The crowd was ecstatic and cheered and waved at the boy. The wise man remained still and calm, expressing no sentiment. The little boy, however, felt proud and important.

A second race was called, and two new young, fit, challengers came forward, to run with the little boy. The race was started and sure enough the little boy came through and finished first once again. The crowd was ecstatic again and cheered and waved at the boy. The wise man remained still and calm, again expressing no sentiment. The little boy, however, felt proud and important.

“Another race, another race!” – pleaded the little boy.

The wise old man stepped forward and presented the little boy with two new challengers, an elderly frail lady and a blind man. “What is this?” – quizzed the little boy. “This is no race.” – he exclaimed.

“Race!” – said the wise man. The race was started and the boy was the only finisher, the other two challengers left standing at the starting line. The little boy was ecstatic, he raised his arms in delight. The crowd, however, was silent showing no sentiment toward the little boy.

“What has happened? Why don’t the people join in my success?” – he asked the wise old man.

“Race again”, replied the wise man, “this time, finish together, all three of you, finish together.” – continued the wise man.

The little boy thought a little, stood in the middle of the blind man and the frail old lady, and then took the two challengers by the hand. The race began and the little boy walked slowly, ever so slowly, to the finishing line and crossed it. The crowd were ecstatic and cheered and waved at the boy. The wise man smiled, gently nodding his head. The little boy felt proud and important.

“Old man, I don’t understand! Who are the crowd cheering for? Which one of us three?” – asked the little boy.

The wise old man looked into the little boy’s eyes, placing his hands on the boy’s shoulders, and replied softly, “Little boy, for this race you have won much more than in any race you have ever ran before, and for this race the crowd cheer not for any winner!”

Demonstrate No Matter What Your Age, You Can Still Set and Achieve Your Goals: Story Of Sam

Sam had many bookmarks that he has collected over the years. He had just celebrated his 75th birthday, and a surprise birthday party was held for him.

What To Buy Him?
Needless to say, trying to figure out what to buy Sam was a challenge as he desired very little, and he needed nothing. He loved to read, and had a huge collection of books. But, to buy him a book seemed impossible, as I did not know which books he had. So, when I found a custom bookmark made by a local craftsperson, I thought it was perfect.

The Perfect Gift and Saying
The custom bookmark had the following saying written on it:
“For to live is to function. That is all there is in living.” Sam opened my present and smiled. “Where did you get this?” he asked. I told him about the craftsperson that made bookmarks.

Sam Knew The Saying
He went on to tell me that this saying was written by Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.. He told me that it was part of the words spoken by Mr. Holmes when he turned ninety. He then went and got a newspaper clipping that had Mr. Holmes words written at ninety:
The riders in a race do not stop short when they reach the goal. There is a little finishing canter before coming to a standstill. There is time to hear the kind voice of friends and to say to one’s self: ‘The work is done” But just as one says that, the answer comes: “The race is over, but the work never is done while the power to work remains”‘ “The canter that brings you to a standstill need not be only coming to rest. It cannot be, while you still live. For to live is to function. That is all there is in living.

I Was Amazed With Sam
At 75 years old he immediately recognized the author of the saying on the bookmark. And further more, I was amazed that he had a newspaper clipping with the words of Mr Holmes. Sam then told me he reads these
inspirational words of wisdom by Mr. Holmes every year on his birthday. He said the words reminded him that no matter how old you are, there is a reason you are here. And, you need to have goals no matter what your age.

Never Stop Setting Goals – No Matter What Your Age
Smiling, as I left Sam’s party, I thought how true those words are. I thought of some people who were much younger than Sam but who accomplish so little. Here was Sam at 75 and still setting his goals, still aiming to improve himself and to help others!

Don’t We All Want To? Many times we see other people and think wouldn’t that be great to do what they do.

There are a lot of people I meet, when I’m out and about, who tell me that they would love to be able to work at home like I do. There seems to be an over exaggeration about working at home that does not come close to approaching reality though. Unfortunately, one of those unreal views is that you will have time to do almost anything you want, and when you want. One of the other aspects to this overly unrealistic view is that some people believe that they would not have to bother with anyone disturbing their working time and, therefore, would be able to accomplish more in less time. 02_Successfuly_work_from_home

Let me attempt to dispel a couple of these unrealistic views with as few words as possible. To be able to work at home successfully takes all of the following: motivation, perseverance, work, good habits, no excuses, balance, accountability, and action.

It Takes More Than You Think
It takes motivation in the sense that you must be able to motivate yourself to actually do the work you have to do. You no longer have a boss, or supervisor to answer to.

You must be able to persevere in order to take on hard tasks and stick with them until they are done. This is no different than if you work for someone else who is expecting you to accomplish what has been asked.

You must develop good habits that do not interfere with some level of balanced life. For example, it is never a good idea to eat your lunch at your desk at work because of possible interruptions by colleagues who view any time at your desk as an indicator that you are working, and the same applies to working from home. You need to take a break away from your work area so when you return you are more refreshed and ready to work.

Avoid This Problem
One of the biggest concerns when you work from home is not to fall into the trap of using excuses not to work. For example, here are some seasonal excuses that are easy to use. Spring is a good time to plant the garden or clean up the flowerbeds. When you worked for someone else, these chores were done in the evening or on the weekends and that is still the time to do them when you work at home. Do not take time off your working day for these chores and the same applies to summer when the sun is shining which will tempt you to go outside or sit on the deck, or read a good book in the shade of one of your trees. Or, in winter when snow can be cleared during your workday instead of early morning or evening as you normally did before. You can find lots and lots of distractions at home – beware.

Adopt Valuable Principles
The rest of the work at home scenario involves accountability – you must organize your time and use it effectively – you report to the tasks you’ve listed to be done. Each day should start with a set of specific goals – if you do not accomplish them, you are the only one to blame. And, action is the key to keep going by doing what is necessary. Without action, everything else is a time waster.

Other People Issues To Avoid
There are many more I haven’t talked about that can cause you problems – friends wanting you to take time off from your work day to go to lunch, play a fast game of golf in good weather, or not having a dedicated place or office to work in undisturbed by other family members who can be very disruptive by just going about their own business – noise, chatter, TV, radio, phone calls from their friends, the dog barking and so on.

So, if you think working at home is a cakewalk, it is not. But, if you are a self-motivator, great organizational skills, have great work habits, can avoid distractions and can persevere when times or tasks are tough, then you have a real good chance of making working from home a real success.

Mother’s Sacrifice #inspiration #women’s day

This story is really touching.

My mom only had one eye. I hated her… she was such an embarrassment. My mom ran a small shop at a flea market. She collected little weeds and such to sell… anything for the money we needed she was such an embarrassment. There was this one day during elementary school.
I remember that it was field day, and my mom came. I was so embarrassed. How could she do this to me? I threw her a hateful look and ran out. The next day at school… “Your mom only has one eye?!” and they taunted me.
I wished that my mom would just disappear from this world so I said to my mom, “Mom, why don’t you have the other eye?! You’re only going to make me a laughingstock. Why don’t you just die?” My mom did not respond. I guess I felt a little bad, but at the same time, it felt good to think that I had said what I’d wanted to say all this time. Maybe it was because my mom hadn’t punished me, but I didn’t think that I had hurt her feelings very badly.
That night… I woke up, and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. My mom was crying there, so quietly, as if she was afraid that she might wake me. I took a look at her, and then turned away. Because of the thing I had said to her earlier, there was something pinching at me in the corner of my heart. Even so, I hated my mother who was crying out of her one eye. So I told myself that I would grow up and become successful, because I hated my one-eyed mom and our desperate poverty.
Then I studied really hard. I left my mother and came to Seoul and studied, and got accepted in the Seoul University with all the confidence I had. Then, I got married. I bought a house of my own. Then I had kids, too. Now I’m living happily as a successful man. I like it here because it’s a place that doesn’t remind me of my mom.
This happiness was getting bigger and bigger, when someone unexpected came to see me “What?! Who’s this?!” It was my mother… Still with her one eye. It felt as if the whole sky was falling apart on me. My little girl ran away, scared of my mom’s eye.
And I asked her, “Who are you? I don’t know you!!” as if I tried to make that real. I screamed at her “How dare you come to my house and scare my daughter! Get out of here now!!” And to this, my mother quietly answered, “oh, I’m so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address,” and she disappeared. Thank goodness… she doesn’t recognize me. I was quite relieved. I told myself that I wasn’t going to care, or think about this for the rest of my life.
Then a wave of relief came upon me… one day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house. I lied to my wife saying that I was going on a business trip. After the reunion, I went down to the old shack, that I used to call a house…just out of curiosity there, I found my mother fallen on the cold ground. But I did not shed a single tear. She had a piece of paper in her hand…. it was a letter to me.
She wrote:
My son,
I think my life has been long enough now. And… I won’t visit Seoul anymore… but would it be too much to ask if I wanted you to come visit me once in a while?
I miss you so much. And I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion. But I decided not to go to the school…. For you… I’m sorry that I only have one eye, and I was an embarrassment for you.
You see, when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye.
As a mother, I couldn’t stand watching you having to grow up with only one eye… so I gave you mine… I was so proud of my son that was seeing a whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye. I was never upset at you for anything you did.
The couple times that you were angry with me. I thought to myself, ‘it’s because he loves me.’ I miss the times when you were still young around me. I miss you so much.
I love you. You mean the world to me.
My World Shattered. I hated the person who only lived for me . I cried for My Mother, I didn’t know of any way that will make up for my worst deeds…
Never Ever hate anyone for their disabilities. Never disrespect your parents, don’t ignore and under estimate their sacrifices. They give us life, they raise us better than they had been, they give and keep trying to give better than they ever had.
They never wish unwell for their kids even in their wildest dreams. They always try showing right path and being motivator. Parents give up all for kids, forgive all mistakes made by kids.
There is no way to repay what they done for kids, all we can do is try giving what they need and it is just time, love and respect.

An Inspirational Story For Today: Weakness Or Strength #inspiration #motivated #top post

Sometimes our biggest weakness can become our biggest strength. Take, for example, the story of one 10-year-old boy who decided to study Judo despite the fact that he had lost his left arm in a devastating car accident.

The boy began lessons with an old Japanese Judo master. The boy was doing well, so he couldn’t understand why, after three months of training the master had taught him only one move.

“Sensei,” the boy finally said, “Shouldn’t I be learning more moves?”

“This is the only move you know, but this is the only move you’ll ever need to know.” – the sensei replied.

Not quite understanding, but believing in his teacher, the boy kept training.

Several months later, the sensei took the boy to his first tournament. Surprising himself, the boy easily won his first two matches. The third match proved to be more difficult, but after some time, his opponent became impatient and charged; the boy deftly used his one move to win the match. Still amazed by his success, the boy was now in the finals.

This time, his opponent was bigger, stronger, and more experienced. For a while, the boy appeared to be overmatched. Concerned that the boy might get hurt, the referee called a time-out. He was about to stop the match when the sensei intervened.
“No,” the sensei insisted, “Let him continue.”

Soon after the match resumed, his opponent made a critical mistake: he dropped his guard. Instantly, the boy used his move to pin him. The boy had won the match and the tournament. He was the champion.

On the way home, the boy and sensei reviewed every move in each and every match. Then the boy summoned the courage to ask what was really on his mind.

“Sensei, how did I win the tournament with only one move?”

“You won for two reasons,” the sensei answered. “First, you’ve almost mastered one of the most difficult throws in all of judo. And second, the only known defense for that move is for your opponent to grap your left arm.”

The boy’s biggest weakness had become his biggest strength. Sometimes our biggest weakness can become our biggest strength.

Stay motivated and free, keep driving till the weakness turns to strength.
