100 Years From Now

In the year 2119, in just 100 years from now, every single reader of this piece will be underground, our bodies having become part of the soil. During that time, our fate in respect to paradise or hell would have been made known to us.

Meanwhile above the soil, our houses that were left behind would have become homes for others or demolished for better structures. Our clothes would have become rags for others and replaced by more recent trends, our cars will be on display as historical artifacts by others, also replaced by more advanced technology. As for us, we will be, for the most part, never thought about by anyone again. How often do you think about your great grandfather? How often does your great grandmother cross your mind?

Our presence here on earth today, that presence that we make so much noise about and shed so many tears for, was preceded by countless generations before us and shall be followed by countless generations after us. Every generation that passes through this world barely finds the time to take a glance at the world before needing to bid it farewell and handing over the baton, having not fulfilled even a fraction of ones ambitions. Our lives are, in reality, far shorter than we imagine.

In 2119, every one of us will realise from within the grave just how worthless this world actually was, and how trivial those dreams were that centred on it.

In 2119, every one of us will be wishing that we had dedicated our lives to great matters of GOD, and devoted ourselves to doing good deeds, particularly those that continue to benefit us after our death.

In 2119, many reading this piece will be screaming out, but in vain:

“My Lord return me! So that I may do good in that which I have left behind ..”

The response to this request, however, shall be:

“No! and behind them is now a barrier until the Day they are resurrected.”

In 2119, many will be in regret, saying:

“I wish that I had prepared for my life.”

Let us become righteous, for surely what happened to those we talk of, heard of and read of will surely happen to some. In fact, personal belief in JESUS CHRIST, HIS DEATH and RESURRECTION is the only answer to this problem. I hereby humbly appeal to every honourable member of this noble platform to use this opportunity to share this important message to all his/her contacts as part of his/her personal EVANGELISM.

Stay blessed and live your life on this planet earth wisely, May the Almighty God be your immediate helper in Jesus Mighty name. Amen!

WE WILL ALL DIE SOMEDAY!

Let’s put more of our time, money and energy into serving God and helping humanity.

Happy Sunday!

This Month Let’s Make Jesus Famous

              Making Jesus Famous

It is another time of the year to evangelize and make Jesus famous. This month I will be writing more about the gospel, and hope it touches someone out there. You can join me in this outreach.

Should we attempt to make Jesus famous? My response would be, “Can you imagine doing the opposite? Hiding Jesus from a lost world?” Of course, we are to make Jesus famous. We are to publish His name in all the earth. The Bible expects this to be our number one job. We are to proclaim from the rooftops, “Jesus is the Lord, the Savior of humankind.” We are to lift Him up so that all will know his wonderful grace and love.

Habakkuk prayed, “Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, O Lord.” (3:2).

Paul, in his incarnational hymn of praise, writes, “Therefore God exalted Jesus to the highest place…that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.” (Phil 2:9-11) That’s just a little bit famous.

Our culture is obsessed with worshipping the “famous ones” of Hollywood and pop music stardom. Many, at this very moment, are grieving the death of one who proclaimed himself the “King of Pop.”

In the midst of this misdirected obsession is it not right and proper to lift up the name of the True King? And, make Him more widely known than any of the pretenders who display only a fading glory. His is the glory that will shine forever. Why not get a head start on worshipping the One who has everlasting glory? Why not make Him the truly “Famous One” in all the earth?

Of course, we want people to move beyond knowing about Jesus to personally encounter Him as God, and as Savior, and as Lord. That goes without saying. But for some people, you have to fill in the lines so they can see the full picture, which is impossible to do when the real issue is not the presenting issue.

Perhaps the objection is rooted in a misunderstanding, that we are to avoid recasting Scriptural principles in the vernacular of our culture. No doubt there is always a danger of miscommunication when we attempt to employ contemporary cultural idioms. Yet, there is a greater danger if we do not. And that is to fail to communicate with this generation at all. It seems to me it’s well worth the risk to employ popular language and concepts to convey biblical truth, which is exactly what the pastor was attempting to do.

Let’s make Jesus famous! In all our communities, work place, schools, and the world! I can’t think of a greater calling than this one thing!

I will be expecting your feedback.

God bless you!!!

Making Jesus Famous: Seven Reasons to Not Fear Sharing Your Faith #evangelism

The word “ evangelism ” sends a shiver down the spine of many Christians.

This month is still a month of spreading the word, winning new souls, and making Jesus famous. Have shared some of the experiences have had that Jesus turned my situation to Joy. Let’s talk to our neighbours, colleagues at work or school, a passer by, or that person you always buy things from. This is a month of Evangelism.

“I won’t know what to say.” “I want to get to know the person better.” “They seem like they wouldn’t be open to the gospel.” “Evangelism is not my spiritual gift.”

There are many common excuses people use for not following the commands of Scripture to share the gospel (Matthew 28:16-20; Mark 16:15).

Here are some truths from Scripture that will encourage you to take a step outside your comfort zone and into the exciting world of sharing your faith in Christ:

1. It is by the power of God that people are saved.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes… (Romans 1:16)
Knowing that people are saved only through the power of God, and not by human effort or ability, should provide comfort for those seeking to make a kingdom-difference. This also takes the pressure off when people are not responding the way we want because we know we are not responsible for the salvation of a particular person, but God is.

2. When you share your faith, you gain a deeper understanding of Christ.
When we testify to others how God saved us from sin and wrath, how he has made us a new creation in Christ, and how has filled us with joy and peace by the Holy Spirit, we are reminded of God’s awesome work in our lives. This deepens our love and understanding of Christ.
In Philemon 6 the Apostle Paul says to Philemon, “I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ” (NIV).

3. Even Jesus was rejected.
Success in evangelism is measured not in the outcome, but in your obedience to the command of Christ. The story of the Jesus and the rich young ruler in Matthew 19:16-30 gives a great picture of this. The young man approached Jesus, interested in hearing about how to get to heaven.
You would think that any encounter with Jesus, the Son of God who has power to grant saving faith, would have been a sure-fire conversion. This was not the case.

After Jesus led him through the law (which shows us our sin and need for the Savior) and told him the cost of discipleship, we are told the young man went away sorrowful.

4. When we are rejected, we are promised heavenly rewards.
Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:11-12)
Evangelist Mark Cahill calls all three potential witnessing outcomes a “win”:
If the person comes to Christ, that is an obvious win.

If they seem interested but don’t come to Christ, you plant seeds that God could water and grow in the future, which is another win.

If they reject you, you get heavenly rewards, which is definitely a win!
Not only is being rejected not bad, but we receive heavenly rewards when we are rejected.

5. The Holy Spirit will give you words.
In Luke 12, Jesus talks to his followers about being a witness. Verses 11 and 12 should be a comfort:

And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.

If God can speak through donkeys like he did in Numbers 22:28, people should be no problem for him! Take him at his word!

6. Our job is to plant seeds or water the soil. God takes care of the growth.
Just like a gardener cannot force seeds to spring forth with life merely by his will, evangelists cannot force people to respond to the message of Christ by their will. God is the one who gives life both physically and spiritually.

We should take the opportunities we are given to plant seeds by sharing the gospel and to water seeds already planted, but ultimately God will help the person grow.

7. God will go with you.
After he gave the Great Commission to go and make disciples in Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus did not leave his disciples alone but said, “Behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (v. 20). Going out on your own can be a frightening thing, but that is never the experience of the Christian.

Christ promises to always be with you.
Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Matthew 9:37). Are you going to be a laborer, someone willing to take a step of faith and love to share the message of the gospel?

Making Jesus Famous #HTH #Evangelism

Making Jesus famous!!! What a wonderful theme for the month of March. Reaching out to people about Jesus. Portraying His character by actions in our homes, communities, work and so on.

Making Jesus Famous one life at a time,” has been the driving force behind every church ministry and evangelistic event.

“We want to know Christ and make him known, and we can do that through transformation of the next generation.”

Want to share a story. Back then in the university, there was a course called GST in 100 level. You can’t graduate without passing the GST courses. I won’t lie, I was unserious in a way with my academics, I didn’t know the course was that relevant till I had a carryover in two GST courses. I sat for the two later and passed only one. I was confused because at this time I sat up and read for the courses. I prayed, went for church fellowship in school, and the teaching that day was directly referring to me. I was amazed and ready to retake thr course again. But again I failed. I cried and by this time I was in 300level. I decided to leave the course to focus more on major and elective courses. 400level I was scared that the GST course was going to reflect on the my final result that I didn’t pass. After my finals, I kept praying, and believing God will deliver. To my surprise when clearance started and collection of completion of courses, my name was among those who are graduating. Hallelujah to my Father. Till now I don’t know how it happened, but all I know is that my Jesus lives and hears our cry every single day.

I understand when some people feel disappointed whenever things don’t go well. But am here to tell you Jesus will deliver. I don’t know who’s reading this, but I believe my story will help someone out there today. Bow your head wherever you are and say :

Father, I come to You right now, in the name of your most Holy Son, Jesus Christ, asking You to accept me as a Believer.

You say in Your word that if I confess my sins and ask forgiveness, You are faithful and will forgive my sins and remember them no more. You will not hold them against me and You will give me everlasting life.Father, I believe that Jesus Christ, Your only Son, came to Earth and was born, that He lived among us, and that He was crucified to pay for our sins and for my sins. I believe that You raised Him from the dead and gave Him power over all creation.
Lord, right now I accept Your Son Jesus as my Savior and as the Lord of my life. Send the Holy Spirit to guide me, protect me, lead me and counsel me. Send Your angels to gather around me and protect me. Protect me from Satan and his evil forces. Help me grow in wisdom, knowledge and love for You and Your ways. Give me the strength and courage to change my ways and resist the Devil and avoid sin in the future.Lord, I thank You for sending Your only Son to die so that I can live.Jesus, I thank You in that You died for me while I was still a sinner and had not yet accepted You. I thank You for forgiving my sins and for bringing me to a saving knowledge of You. Please bless me and protect me. Teach me to pray. Guide me. Increase my faith, and make me sure in the knowledge that I can rely on You, no matter what may come. Lead me to a good church where I can learn Your word and the Father’s will, where I can fellowship with Christians and grow in my knowledge of You.I ask these things in Your most holy and precious name, and I thank You for making me a Believer. Amen!

Welcome to the life of enjoyment.

Try to join a Bible believing church, and experience greatness through Christ Jesus.
