How To Cope

I’ve got a “full moon” migraine, they come as no surprise;
They’re bound to be repeated once a month.
I think I have them conquered, I think I’m in control;
And once again it’s there before my eyes.

It drives me to the darkness, a place of solitude;
It draws away my every ounce of strength.
I’m forced to total silence, for sounds are amplified;
I live in this environment for many days at length.

So far there’s no solution, it’s “live” with what you’ve got;
Just carry on for it is bound to cease.
I struggle to be patient, to wait it out, endure,
Yet silently I’m longing for release.

But then I look at others who carry greater pain,
Who suffer a disease that has no cure.
I realize my blessings, I’m grateful to be me,
I empathize with what they must endure.

Forgive me for complaining or being in despair,
For feeling like these things will never end.
Let me find reassurance that change is bound to come,
And in a day or so I’m on the mend.

There will be reoccurrence; it’s been like this for years,
But I’ve survived these bouts that come and go.
I’ learned how to survive them and keep the upper hand,
And through it all I’ve watched my patience grow.

I do not let it rule me, nor give into the pain,
I postpone all such things that irritate.
I wait, I know I have to, or I will feel distress,
The work is always there and it will wait.

A Prince Among Men

A meek, humble man, uncommon
Gracious in word, deed and pen,
Eyes lovingly looking to Jesus
He was truly a prince among men.

Prince Among Men

His joy was contagious and winsome
He laughed with the joy of a child,
For he knew that his Father was with him
That through Christ he had been reconciled.

He befriended the helpless and hopeless
Spoke in love what is true and what’s right,
He stood by the side of family and friends,
And brought light on a dark day or night.

He touched the lives of many
Was so generous with all he possessed,
He reached out to those less fortunate
Truly lived out the life he professed.

He preferred to be called a servant
Sought to serve and not to be served,
He knew that grace was the gift of God
That no one can earn or deserved.

He is now singing praise to the Savior
Gladly casting his crown at Christ’s feet,
He’s now with the Lord he loves and adores
And his joy is now full and complete.

Oh dear timothy, how I miss you!
You’re a once in a lifetime friend,
I thank God for our time spent together,
That in Christ this life’s not the end!

A Winner Is A Dreamer Who Never Quits

Don't Give Up

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will.

When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill.

When the funds are low and the debts are high.

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.

When care is pressing you down a bit.

Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns.

As every one of us sometimes learns.

And many a failure turns about

When he might have won had he stuck it out:

Don’t give up though the pace seems slow

You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.

And you never can tell how close you are.

It may be near when it seems so far:

So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit

It’s when things seem worst that you must not QUIT

I will not get tired spreading this message. The power to hild on in spite of everything, to endure this is the winner’s quality. Persistence is the ability to face defeat again and again without giving up to push on in the face of great difficulty. The poem above is shared for everyone to read and memorize to his/herself when tempted to quit or to stop trying.

The message will keep going on until the message is well received.

Sleep

Satan loves a lazy, lifeless church. He can just sit back and enjoy the show. But when the church is alive and thriving, he’s actively attempting to thwart God’s work.

Sleep

When a church is asleep
And the slumber is deep
The devil will leave it alone
He is thrilled at the sight
Of a comatose plight
With a life that reminds him of stone.

But if it should wake
And the bones start to shake
As The Spirit arouses the saints
Then satan gets tough
And his demons get rough
As a landscape of darkness he paints.

They whisper in ears
And manifest fears
Your self worth is brought to it’s knees
They love to destroy
The flowing of joy
And desecrate all that they see.

So stand firm in Christ
And stop being nice
The victory, is already won
The power of The Lord
Is your two edged sword
From you, they have to run.

Trust God and Step Out In Faith. Embrace change!!!

Screwed up like a ball
Protected by a covering
Afraid to share at all
Wound up by fear of change
A person can survive
Sitting on the outside
Looking at the beauty
Of what He’s doing today.

What’s the use of change
It only brings you problems
I’m perfect as I am
I do my best by Him
But there is something more
A loving kind of future
If only I would trust
And let dear Jesus in.

Oh peel away these layers
These chains that are my jailer
Let me open out
Into the flower that I am
The joy that lives within
Is buried deep inside me
Someone notice me
And help me live again.

Let me feel the power
A deluge of the water
Cleansing deep inside
Removing all my pain
Take away the fear
The thought of being foolish
Here, have all of me
I cannot stay the same.

Walk today in faith and have expect a change you never expected.

Depressed? Alone? Tired? Afraid? Take heart–God Thinks You Are Great.

Something motivating for you today.

If you think you’re thick and naff
Hate to see your photograph
Self worth sinking in the bath
God thinks you are great.

Wander through a boring life
Avoidance of all kinds of strife
Sever friendships with a knife
God thinks you are great.

Need to change your point of view
Jesus died alone for you
Wants to make you all brand new
God thinks you are great.

Jesus knocking at your door
He is what you’re looking for
Let His Spirit heal your sores
Cos God thinks you are great.
