Happy New Month Of November

May this new month bring fresh air to your soul
As you breathe in God’s life anew.

May a sunrise of sweet promises
Dawn across your mind with dreams that come true.

May the love of your heavenly Father
Blow like a breeze through your cares
And the winds of eternities calling
Lift you high to find vision again.

Amen🙏

How to be Full of Joy Even if You’re Suffering Right Now

We can be full of joy in the midst of our suffering if only we can see the flip side to it and not just the side that invokes pain. (It’s about perspective)- Sho

Suffering implies experiencing discomfort. No one likes discomfort. But, how you embrace it depends on your perspective. In this post, I’m going to explain how to be full of joy even if you’re suffering.

ou may view suffering as a consequence of actions that led you out of God’s protection or covering. Such a view perceives hardship as a sign that sin is lurking somewhere in your life. You may also view it as an attack from the enemy. In either case, you are naturally inclined to do whatever it takes for the pain to stop or difficulty to end. Could you, however, be missing God’s work in the midst of all this?

In Romans 5 NIV, as Paul makes a case for the basis of our salvation through faith in Christ, he throws in an interesting comment on suffering in verse 3 and 4

“… but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope …”

This is interesting because what we see here is that if we endure suffering, the end state is that it produces character and hope. And this is a reason to rejoice. We see a similar assertion in James 1: 2-4 NIV.

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

In essence, suffering, trials and hardship can be a tool in God’s hands to makes us more like Christ.

Joy

God can use suffering, trials, and hardship as tools when we endure, rather than try to escape or avoid it. Just like the soreness and pain from working out, we can endure the discomfort because God is using it to make us more like Jesus, even if we may not completely get it at the moment.

When that crazy driver next to you is testing your patience on the road, or that rude co-worker or you experience a series of unfortunate events, think on these things. As crazy as it may sound or seem to those around you, you may just have a reason to rejoice. As you ask God for wisdom, ask for grace to endure. If you keep your eyes on the fact that once you have endured this specific challenge, you are one step closer to being like Him, you can find some joy in suffering.

The Benefit Of Believing God

It’s a wonderful thing that God has done for us to be able to look at a negative thing in a positive way and actually say, “You cannot defeat me because God is on my side.”

I want to have a good attitude because that’s what will glorify God. He has promised that if we will do three simple things—continue to pray, to love Him, and to want His will—that all things will work together for our good (see Romans 8:28). That’s a 100 percent, ironclad guarantee that no matter how messy life gets, God will make good out of it. If you want victory in your life, all you have to do is adopt a lifestyle of thanksgiving.

If you can manage to be thankful in every situation, really believing that God is working everything out for your good, you will end up with the victory every single time.

This Month Let’s Make Jesus Famous

              Making Jesus Famous

It is another time of the year to evangelize and make Jesus famous. This month I will be writing more about the gospel, and hope it touches someone out there. You can join me in this outreach.

Should we attempt to make Jesus famous? My response would be, “Can you imagine doing the opposite? Hiding Jesus from a lost world?” Of course, we are to make Jesus famous. We are to publish His name in all the earth. The Bible expects this to be our number one job. We are to proclaim from the rooftops, “Jesus is the Lord, the Savior of humankind.” We are to lift Him up so that all will know his wonderful grace and love.

Habakkuk prayed, “Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, O Lord.” (3:2).

Paul, in his incarnational hymn of praise, writes, “Therefore God exalted Jesus to the highest place…that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.” (Phil 2:9-11) That’s just a little bit famous.

Our culture is obsessed with worshipping the “famous ones” of Hollywood and pop music stardom. Many, at this very moment, are grieving the death of one who proclaimed himself the “King of Pop.”

In the midst of this misdirected obsession is it not right and proper to lift up the name of the True King? And, make Him more widely known than any of the pretenders who display only a fading glory. His is the glory that will shine forever. Why not get a head start on worshipping the One who has everlasting glory? Why not make Him the truly “Famous One” in all the earth?

Of course, we want people to move beyond knowing about Jesus to personally encounter Him as God, and as Savior, and as Lord. That goes without saying. But for some people, you have to fill in the lines so they can see the full picture, which is impossible to do when the real issue is not the presenting issue.

Perhaps the objection is rooted in a misunderstanding, that we are to avoid recasting Scriptural principles in the vernacular of our culture. No doubt there is always a danger of miscommunication when we attempt to employ contemporary cultural idioms. Yet, there is a greater danger if we do not. And that is to fail to communicate with this generation at all. It seems to me it’s well worth the risk to employ popular language and concepts to convey biblical truth, which is exactly what the pastor was attempting to do.

Let’s make Jesus famous! In all our communities, work place, schools, and the world! I can’t think of a greater calling than this one thing!

I will be expecting your feedback.

God bless you!!!

Funke Akindele Bello And Hubby JJC Skillz Welcome Twins

Funke and Husband JJC

Am so happy right now. I call her Aunty Funke, she is my best Nollywood actress and one of the most humble and caring women have ever met.

After various miscarriages, God gifted her with beautiful twin boys today in the United States.

There is nothing too late for God. when people say there is a casting down, we will stand up and say there is a lifting up in Jesus name. Only if you guys know what she went through in life, even a so-called prophet
identified as  Olagorioye Faleyimu said she will never give birth. But God manifested Himself as always.

Never fret, depress, or sad in whatever situation you in now. There is nothing too late for God, in due time and season you will harvest your seeds sown in Jesus name. Amen!

I use this good news to declare and prophesy to anyone looking for the fruit of the womb or any breakthrough, that before the end of this year, you will give your testimony and sing a new song.

Am so happy!!! yagaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…..

Things I Am Grateful For Today (And Always)

1. That humans are a self-healing species.

2. The infinitude of people wiser and more talented than I, because of whom I will always be able to learn more, see differently, understand better, and generally be entertained.

3. That anytime something hasn’t worked out the way I wanted it to initially, something better did. Always. Without fail.

4. My wife is with me when I was researching this. Been thankful for everything God has done for us.

5. The abundance of foods and cultures and restaurants and diners that exist in my little corner of the world, and that I get to taste a little bit of everything as often as I like.

6. I have never once in my life worried about being too cold in the winter because I couldn’t afford a sweater or jacket.

7. Friends who have loved me more than I loved myself, and who taught me how to love myself.

8. Hugs.

9. Cooking, and sharing it with others. It’s been something I have really grown a love for this past year.

10. That nothing lasts forever, which is, essentially, just a call to be present.

11. That I live in a hemisphere that experiences all four seasons.

12. Second chances. Third chances. Forgiveness. The ability to say: thank you for that experience, and mean it.

13. Nature. And trees. The after-rain smell, the springtime smell. Mountains and trails and and the fact that I have feet and legs to walk them.

14. The funny fact that the nature of realizing a problem is also you recognizing that there is a solution.

15. My job. The fact that I get to write every day. The other amazing writers and producers I get to read and work with and publish.

16. Coffee, and coffee shops at night.

17. A long meal in a dimly lit restaurant with a bottle of wine and someone you love.

18. The excitement of knowing you have reservations for a long meal in a dimly lit restaurant with a bottle of wine and someone you love.

19. That I have rent to pay, dishes to do, laundry to fold, and dinner to cook; because it means I have my own home, have eaten, am clothed, and have more food available to me.

20. How much joy the little things bring (knowing that that joy is always accessible.)

21. Finding a song you love so much you listen to it 20 times in a row and it just gets better and better with every word and riff and beat you start to memorize.

22. Handwriting anything.

23. Farmers markets.

24. The smell of someone you’re falling in love with, right when you’re falling in love with them.

25. The fact that there is no limit to the number of people we can fall in love with – and that it is possible to do so, each time, as wholly as we did before.

26. Confident people who live their lives and speak their truths and redefine beauty and greatness and wonder and what it means to LIVE just by the nature of their living. (People don’t become inspiring by trying to help others, just by being themselves.)

27. Kids. I envy teachers (though I acknowledge how much work they do and how crappy I’d be as one). Regardless, my real joy in life is playing games in my comfort zone and eating biscuit with a cup of fresh juice, watching my favourite season movies.

28. Warm, comfy beds.

29. The simple, perfect knowledge that my only real purpose is to be. Right here, just like this. My name will fade with successions of generations, and eventually, one day, nobody will know I existed. But for now, just for today, I am awake and alive to see and feel and breathe and live in a foreign, temporary body. If there is something more beautiful than that, show it to me, I’ll be surprised.

30. Everything I have healed, everything I have learned, and how being happy, being present, creating more, and being abundant in every way, always begins with thankfulness.

Guilty

Was she really guilty?

Guilty of something? No, there was no chance for she to have been guilty of something that caused pain or heartache to others. Hilda was only a normal lady; a lovely entity made of flesh and bone, that just was looking for somebody to love her, just the way she was.

Why does somebody have to set rules for love? Who said that only the ones that fit in the beauty standards have any right to be loved? Hilda was on this earth to enjoy her own existence, not to please others. Those jealous hearts could keep talking trash about her. She had no time for bitter words. They could stay forever in the darkness, hiding behind their own fears. But she was more determined to keep her head up. There was no reason to hide in shame. Love is always a tender flower, lightening all hearts up. There’s no use in shaming somebody for loving freely. isn’t that the way love must always be? No being must cage a beautiful bird like love is. Hilda was happy with her truth, so while others tried to keep her down, she would enjoy long days under the sun. She really deserved them.

Waiting On God

I am reminded today of the importance of maintaining an attitude of waiting on God. I am not suggesting inactivity but rather the highest form of spiritual activity, that of trusting God in every area of life. Wait on Him for strength, healing, wisdom, and opportunity. Wait on God to reveal Himself to you and to show you His amazing favor. God is waiting to be good to us, and He looks for those who are waiting on Him (Isaiah 30:18).

Father God, I desire to form a habit of waiting on You all throughout the day. Help me not to rush ahead into activities and decisions without acknowledging You. Thank You for Your presence. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
