You Are Blessed More Than You Know

Do you know how incredible blessed you are? There are so many little things that we take for granted. The fact that you can read this means you are not one of the 774 million people in the world who can’t read or write a single world (statisticbrain.com). Can you imagine going through life without being able to read texts, emails, or a book to your children? Let alone trying to find a good paying job to support your family.

The phone or computer you are reading this on also puts you in a distinguish category 99% of the world would kill for. Did you know the median average income worldwide is $10,000 (Gallup)? There are some of us that spend that much in a month or two between our mortgage, transport, feeding, etc…. Imagine trying to feed your family on that for an entire year.

Please don’t feel bad for being blessed, that’s not what I am trying to get at. There is nothing wrong with accumulating wealth and living a comfortable life style, it’s a gift from God. Where we need to be careful is that we don’t get too comfortable and begin to feel we are entitled to a certain life style or certain things.

Luke 12:48 tells us “…From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded. And from the one trusted with much, much more will be expected.” Are you treating your possessions like they are Gods and asking him what you should do with them? The bible tells us we are stewards on Gods behalf. He has given you a house, car, a good bank account, children, a nice house, etc… Do you feel like you have done a good job managing these items for God? If there was a big board meeting with God and he asked how his portfolio was doing he put you in charge of, what would your presentation look like? Would there be pictures of you whining and crying because you didn’t get the Lariat package on your new whip? Or would there be pictures of you using your new whip to help someone at church move their mom into the nursing home?

Everyone likes nice things and wants a comfortable life style. But let me remind you that Christian living is not an easy and cushy life style. I had a hard time with this once I rededicated my life to Christ. I instantly thought that blessing would shower down upon me and life would just be gravy. When things didn’t turn out that way I became mad and frustrated that I wasn’t receiving what Iwanted. Through various avenues God showed me I was wrong for feeling and thinking this way and issued me a challenge. Every night when I would pray I was to say one thing I was thankful for no matter how big or small I thought it was. The other side of it was that I couldn’t repeat the same item I was thankful for within a 30 day time frame.

I want to issue the same challenge to you and your family. Whether you thank God during your prayers, journaling, devotions, or whenever, take time to tell God what you are thankful for that he gave you. God loves a thankful heart because not only does it show a loving devotion to him but also a faith/surrendering that he has control over your life. And I can speak from personal experience that this challenge will change your perspective on life in a huge positive way.

The Best Time To Plant a Tree Is 25 Years Ago. The Second Best Time Is Today

“I’m going to start soon…”
“I’ve been wanting to do that for a long time…”
“I need to do that…”
“I know I should be doing this…”

When I hear people saying things like this I am reminded of this quote that a well respected business man said to me some time ago: “The best time to plant a tree is 25 years ago. The second best time is today. Be a person of action; start taking steps toward the future you want today.” When I first heard this I really got it. I took action and a lot of things changed in my life due to me just taking action. I found myself starting to do the things I talked about doing for years. I began to make great progress in my life. Today, I cannot help but speak this same quote to others when I hear them saying the things that I was once saying.

Often when I say this quote to people, nothing changes. For the past year, this has been something that has troubled me. I would ask myself, “Don’t people want to grow and excel in life?” I have come to believe that the reason so few people are willing to act is because, as a people, we have allowed ourselves to become complacent with where we currently are. Life gets in the way of us moving and making progress. We are comfortable where we are, so why risk messing it up?

In Matthew 25:14-30, Jesus talks about the parable of the talents. The wicked servant in the parable hid the talent that was given to him by the master because he was afraid that he would not be able to make more out of it. How often do we fall into this same category? We are unwilling to step out in faith and try to do something that we want to do because it may threaten how comfortable we are. So instead we stay where we are, hiding who we could become just so we do not have to face the risk.

Today I encourage you to look at your life, see if you have been putting some things off that you know you should do; and start doing them! There is no better time than today. Plant the tree of self-disciplined in your life today. Begin to move in the direction that you know you need to go. Allow your comfort in life to be challenged. In the end, you will find that you are a person of action. Always moving toward the future you know you want, one step at a time.

Expect Failure at First

No plan is perfect the first time it is created. Most plans to accomplish something new will fail over and over again at the beginning. This is to be expected. Your ability to accept feedback and make corrections to the plan of activity is vital to your success. Keep asking, what’s working? and what’s not working? Be more concerned with what’s right rather than who’s right.

Remember the old saying, “back to the drawing board” whenever your plan doesn’t work, relax, take a deep breath, and revisit it.

Focus on the Solution

When you have a problem, resolve to be solution oriented. Expect difficulties as a part of the process and reaolve to respond to them effectively. If you are not achieving your goals on schedule, ask, what is the problem? What else is the problem? What are the solutions? What else is a solution? What can we do now? What is the next step?

It seems that when you begin work on the achievement of a new goal, you immediately experience setbacks, obstacles, difficulties, and temporary failure. This is to be expected. It is normal and natural. It takes tremendous effort to launch something new and make it successful. But this is the price that you have to pay to achieve the goals that you have set for yourself.

The Greatest Success Possible

The Greatest Success Possible: Self-actualization. Self determination. Hard work. Achievement. Success. A pleased God. Reward.

I was on a church retreat recently that spoke on Jeremiah 2. During a quiet moment with the Lord, surrounded in a world of self-actualization and self-determination, a sudden hard truth impressed me. Regardless of your primary purpose or calling or destiny in this life, you’re actually incapable of doing it. Doesn’t matter what it is, you are incapable of performing the one thing you are created to do by design.

Despite your most intense focus, intention, and effort, you cannot glorify God. By your own efforts, you cannot please Him. Think about that and let it sink in. How could a finite and defective being, even one that’s been redeemed by Christ, ever please an infinite and perfect one? (Isaiah 64:6) By your own efforts, you cannot stop sinning. You cannot add one day to your life. And you cannot achieve anything at all truly great. You simply lack the capability to do so on your own.

We may immediately think of some superstar celebrity names that achieved greatness. Well greatness by our standards. Truly I tell you if they did it on their own then whatever they achieved was far less than what God designed them to be. They failed. Funny, the one thing we all were ultimately created for: to glorify God, is actually the one thing we are most incapable of doing.

Depressed? It may seem sad, but it’s by design.

“My people have committed two sins: they have forsaken me, the spring of living water. They have been for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.” – Jeremiah 2:13

The harder you try to make yourself under your own power a usable cistern, the more useless you become to God. Even when grace saves you under Jesus, if you continue to power forward under your own might, you’ll fail to please Him.

Only God can glorify Himself. Only infinite and eternal can satisfy infinite and eternal.

So the only way you can please God, your actual ultimate destiny regardless of what your calling may be, is to be as humble as possible. Be honest with your inner core of your condition of a being as useful as a broken cistern, sinful and useless under your own strength.

“The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart O God.” – Psalm 51:17

It is through humbly becoming as much of a shell and clearing out your own determination, drive, and passions that God can finally fill Himself in you as a usable vessel. This is in stark contrast to our current culture’s understanding. It’s by breaking yourself down into a limp puppet that God can finally attach His strings. He brings you to true animated life. Then and only then when you have “self-actualized” yourself to what you really are (nothing) and have identified your greatest capability (completely incapable) is when God can finally assume control. He uses you for your real destiny. This will now be 100% by His hand alone and not one iota of your humanity.

Related Post: The Greatness of Humility

Logically, the only thing we humans are ever in control of, is the first step: removing our pride. We were never in control and capable of anything. Under God’s rule and measurement of true success, our own power and strength exists for the sole purpose of removing our own power and strength. We are to make room for *His* power and strength. Hence, the greatest thing we could ever actually “do” for God is to “undo” ourselves.

Dreams Do Come True! French Star “Mbappe” Dream That Became a Reality

As we all know the world cup is over. A lot of fans were disappointed with there team, while some were surprised at the performance of young players in the tournament. No doubt France deserves the cup. From the beginning of the tournament, they put up a good fight with other teams and conquered.

But that ain’t the story. If you watched the world cup, your eyes and ears will be aware of the young star “Mbappe”. This young lad dream is so inspiring and motivating to give you the assurance that dreams do come true.

Was doing my research and stepped on on a piece about him.

Mbappe and Cristiano Ronaldo is idle

If you are opportune to read this, Don’t give up on your Dream!

Kylian Mbappe was a huge Cristiano Ronaldo fan as a kid and now he’s knocked Lionel Messi out of the World Cup and gone further than his hero!

At 14 years old, Kylian Mbappe was just a boy dreaming about his hero Cristiano Ronaldo.

During the World cup, he put in a masterclass performance to knock out Ronaldo’s biggest rival, Lionel Messi, before his Portuguese idol also fell at the last-16 later that evening.

After two goals against Argentina, Mbappe finds himself progressing further than either of the world’s greatest players, but once upon a time he was just a boy living in a shrine to Ronaldo.

Kylian Mbappe poses as a 14-year-old in his bedroom covered in photos of Cristiano Ronaldo

Mbappe grew up as a Real Madrid fan and Cristiano Ronaldo has always been his hero

Moral Lesson:

Little did Mbappe know that just five years later he would help knock his hero’s biggest rival out of the World Cup, and go even further than Ronaldo himself.

You all should keep your head high and never give up on your Hustle.

Don’t Settle for Less than God’s Best

Hi guys!!!

Thanks for dropping by.

Let’s take a minute to digest this post, as we go into our daily activities today.

Pinterest
We all go through hardship and experience pain in our lives. And we have a choice to make about how we will respond to it. We can either “settle” in it and let it determine the quality of life we have, or we can trust God to heal us and take steps of faith to go through the process of restoration.

Joyce Meyer endured years of horrific abuse at the hands of her father, yet she made a determined decision to trust God to heal and restore her soul.

Whatever your story may be, God can use the hardship you’ve endured to make you stronger than you’ve ever been! So, don’t give up – receive everything God has for you!

5 Simple Steps To Re-activate Yourself, If You Work Hard With No Results

Tips for life.

You’ve spent a lot of time, energy, effort and money to achieve your goal.

You’ve even sacrificed your favorite TV shows, shopping, dating, and your sleep. You utterly, wholeheartedly want to succeed.

And yet your results seem insignificant.

It’s frustrating, isn’t it?

Image result for how to motivate yourself to work hard
motivation

But remember this: “Giving up on your goal because of one setback is like slashing your other three tires because you got a flat.”

It’s not the time to give up yet.

Here are 5 simple steps to revive your motivation and keep going.

1) Take a Vacation and Rest

“When all else fails, take a vacation.” – Betty Williams

You have been striving hard for so long. If you feel you can’t go any further, stop, rest, and travel. Detach yourself from seeking for solutions, forget those miseries, and just have fun. Besides refreshing yourself, you may even gain new insights and inspirations.

2) Do Some Revision

“Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction.” – John F. Kennedy

Of course you have a target. But it’s easy to lose focus when you’re too busy working on your plans. Revise again – What’s the reason that you want to reach the goal? Write and rewrite it on papers. Then imagine the excitement and contentment when you finally succeed. Keep that fire and march on.

3) Make a Different

“Be stubborn about your goals, and flexible about your methods.” – Anonymous

Don’t just work hard without reflection, you are not a cow. If things don’t turn out well, dwell on other possibilities. You can observe others’ strategies or ask your friends for suggestions. Most importantly, dare to make changes, reflect, and improve again. Continuous trying brings progress.

4) Believe

“If a goal or dream is slow in coming, envision it on a delivery truck, just a wee bit stuck in traffic, but still headed toward you.” – Karen Salmansohn

If you start to doubt your abilities, you have lost half of the battle. This is because you will tend to put less effort, passion, and love to your work. To gain confidence, praise yourself for managing to come this far. You’re halfway there. Don’t worry about failure; just do your best.

5) Be Patience

“The key to everything is patience. You get the chicken by hatching the egg, not by smashing it.” – Arnold H. Glasgow

Understand that great things take time. After all, an oyster needs around 7 years to make a pearl. So don’t feel sorry for yourself, and avoid comparing yourself to other people’s achievements. The truth is that there’s no overnight success. You need to go through this journey filled with challenges, trials, and errors to become smarter and better. Just carry on, persist!

You see, sometimes what you need is just a change of attitude and approach to help you get over the hump and be ready to keep fighting for your goal.

Do you have other tips to pick yourself up? Please share with us in the comments.
