This song is so motivating and inspiring. Yea the song is up to 9 years old, but still it gingers me whenever I feel lost or want to give up.

It doesn’t get old!!!

Lyrics

[Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Nicole Scherzinger:]
Everything will be alright yeah
Alright yeah, alright yeah
[Beyonce:]
The heart is stronger than you think
Like it could go through anything
And even when you think it can’t
It finds a way to still push on though
[Carrie Underwood:]
Sometimes you want to run away
Ain’t got the patience for the pain
And if you don’t believe it look into your heart
The beat goes on
[Rihanna:]
I’m telling you
[Miley Cyrus:]
Things get better
[Rihanna:]
Through
[Miley:]
Whatever
[Rihanna:]
If you fall,
[Both:]
Dust it off,
[Miley:]
Don’t let up
[Nicole:]
Don’t you know you can go be your own miracle
[Beyonce:]
You need to know!
[All:]
If the mind keeps thinking you’ve had enough
But the heart keeps telling you don’t give up
Who are we to be questioning, wondering what is what?
Don’t give up, through it all, just stand up
[Fergie:]
Ooh, it’s like we all had better days
Problems getting all up in your face
[Leona Lewis:]
Just because you go through it
[Fergie:]
Don’t mean it got to take control, no oh oh
[Leona Lewis:]
You ain’t got to find no hiding place
[Keyshia Cole:]
Because the heart can beat the hate
[Leona Lewis:]
Don’t want to let the mind keep playing you
[Keyshia:]
And saying you can’t go on
[Rihanna:]
I’m telling you
[Miley Cyrus:]
Things get better
[Rihanna:]
Through
[Miley:]
Whatever
[Rihanna:]
If you fall
[Both:]
Dust if off
[Miley:]
Don’t let up
[Natasha Bedingfield:]
Don’t you know
You can go
Be your own
Miracle!
[Carrie:]
You need to know!
[All:]
If the mind keeps thinking you’ve had enough
But the heart keeps telling you don’t give up
Who are we to be questioning, wondering what is what?
Don’t give up, through it all, just stand up
Through it all, just stand up
[Mary J. Blige:]
You don’t got to be a prisoner in your mind
[Rihanna:]
If you fall, dust it off
[Mary:]
You can live your life
[All:]
Yeah
[Mary:]
Let your heart be your guide
[All:]
Yeah yeah yeah
[Mariah Carey:]
You will know there’s a good if you trust the good
[All:]
Everything will be alright, yeah
[Ashanti:]
Light up the dark, if you follow your heart
[Mary:]
And it will get better
[Mariah:]
Through whatever
[All:]
If the mind keeps thinking you’ve had enough
But the heart keeps telling you don’t give up
Who are we to be questioning, wondering what is what?
Don’t give up, through it all, just stand up
[Fergie:]
You got it in you, find it within
You got it in you, find it within yeah
You got it in you, find it within
You got it in you, find it within yeah
You got it in you, find it within
You got it in you, find it within yeah
Find it within you, find it within
[All:]
Through it all, just stand up

God With Us

The man whispered, “God, speak to me”
And a meadowlark sang.
But, the man did not hear.

So the man yelled, “God, speak to me”
And the thunder rolled across the sky.

But, the man did not listen. The man looked around and said,
“God let me see you.”
And a star shined brightly.
But the man did not see.

And, the man shouted, “God show me a miracle.”
And, a life was born.
But, the man did not notice.

So, the man cried out in despair, “Touch me God, and let me know you are here.”
Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man.
But, the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.

I found this to be a great reminder that God is always around us in the little and simple things that we take for granted even in our electronic age, so I would like to add one more:

The man cried, “God, I need your help!”
And an e-mail arrived reaching out with good news and encouragement.
But, the man deleted it and continued crying…

Don’t miss out on a blessing because it isn’t packaged the way that you expect.

Making Jesus Famous: Seven Reasons to Not Fear Sharing Your Faith #evangelism

The word “ evangelism ” sends a shiver down the spine of many Christians.

This month is still a month of spreading the word, winning new souls, and making Jesus famous. Have shared some of the experiences have had that Jesus turned my situation to Joy. Let’s talk to our neighbours, colleagues at work or school, a passer by, or that person you always buy things from. This is a month of Evangelism.

“I won’t know what to say.” “I want to get to know the person better.” “They seem like they wouldn’t be open to the gospel.” “Evangelism is not my spiritual gift.”

There are many common excuses people use for not following the commands of Scripture to share the gospel (Matthew 28:16-20; Mark 16:15).

Here are some truths from Scripture that will encourage you to take a step outside your comfort zone and into the exciting world of sharing your faith in Christ:

1. It is by the power of God that people are saved.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes… (Romans 1:16)
Knowing that people are saved only through the power of God, and not by human effort or ability, should provide comfort for those seeking to make a kingdom-difference. This also takes the pressure off when people are not responding the way we want because we know we are not responsible for the salvation of a particular person, but God is.

2. When you share your faith, you gain a deeper understanding of Christ.
When we testify to others how God saved us from sin and wrath, how he has made us a new creation in Christ, and how has filled us with joy and peace by the Holy Spirit, we are reminded of God’s awesome work in our lives. This deepens our love and understanding of Christ.
In Philemon 6 the Apostle Paul says to Philemon, “I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ” (NIV).

3. Even Jesus was rejected.
Success in evangelism is measured not in the outcome, but in your obedience to the command of Christ. The story of the Jesus and the rich young ruler in Matthew 19:16-30 gives a great picture of this. The young man approached Jesus, interested in hearing about how to get to heaven.
You would think that any encounter with Jesus, the Son of God who has power to grant saving faith, would have been a sure-fire conversion. This was not the case.

After Jesus led him through the law (which shows us our sin and need for the Savior) and told him the cost of discipleship, we are told the young man went away sorrowful.

4. When we are rejected, we are promised heavenly rewards.
Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:11-12)
Evangelist Mark Cahill calls all three potential witnessing outcomes a “win”:
If the person comes to Christ, that is an obvious win.

If they seem interested but don’t come to Christ, you plant seeds that God could water and grow in the future, which is another win.

If they reject you, you get heavenly rewards, which is definitely a win!
Not only is being rejected not bad, but we receive heavenly rewards when we are rejected.

5. The Holy Spirit will give you words.
In Luke 12, Jesus talks to his followers about being a witness. Verses 11 and 12 should be a comfort:

And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.

If God can speak through donkeys like he did in Numbers 22:28, people should be no problem for him! Take him at his word!

6. Our job is to plant seeds or water the soil. God takes care of the growth.
Just like a gardener cannot force seeds to spring forth with life merely by his will, evangelists cannot force people to respond to the message of Christ by their will. God is the one who gives life both physically and spiritually.

We should take the opportunities we are given to plant seeds by sharing the gospel and to water seeds already planted, but ultimately God will help the person grow.

7. God will go with you.
After he gave the Great Commission to go and make disciples in Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus did not leave his disciples alone but said, “Behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (v. 20). Going out on your own can be a frightening thing, but that is never the experience of the Christian.

Christ promises to always be with you.
Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Matthew 9:37). Are you going to be a laborer, someone willing to take a step of faith and love to share the message of the gospel?

Weakness or Strength #inspiration #motivation

Sometimes our biggest weakness can become our biggest strength. Take, for example, the story of one 10-year-old boy who decided to study Judo despite the fact that he had lost his left arm in a devastating car accident.

The boy began lessons with an old Japanese Judo master. The boy was doing well, so he couldn’t understand why, after three months of training the master had taught him only one move.
“Sensei,” the boy finally said, “Shouldn’t I be learning more moves?”
“This is the only move you know, but this is the only move you’ll ever need to know.” – the sensei replied.
Not quite understanding, but believing in his teacher, the boy kept training.
Several months later, the sensei took the boy to his first tournament. Surprising himself, the boy easily won his first two matches. The third match proved to be more difficult, but after some time, his opponent became impatient and charged; the boy deftly used his one move to win the match. Still amazed by his success, the boy was now in the finals.
This time, his opponent was bigger, stronger, and more experienced. For a while, the boy appeared to be overmatched. Concerned that the boy might get hurt, the referee called a time-out. He was about to stop the match when the sensei intervened.
“No,” the sensei insisted, “Let him continue.”
Soon after the match resumed, his opponent made a critical mistake: he dropped his guard. Instantly, the boy used his move to pin him. The boy had won the match and the tournament. He was the champion.
On the way home, the boy and sensei reviewed every move in each and every match. Then the boy summoned the courage to ask what was really on his mind.
“Sensei, how did I win the tournament with only one move?”
“You won for two reasons,” the sensei answered. “First, you’ve almost mastered one of the most difficult throws in all of judo. And second, the only known defense for that move is for your opponent to grap your left arm.”
The boy’s biggest weakness had become his biggest strength.

Trust In Him At All Times

Whenever you think your life is no where to be found, confused, and distributed on how life is treating you so badly. It is hard to share the secrets of your hearts with anyone. We want to keep our secrets, failings, embarrassments, and sins hidden. We fear that others would reject us and we would shame ourselves if anyone knee the secret sludge in our hearts.

But hidden sin is only hidden from us. It is not hidden from our father. Hidden sin festers in our hearts and drives a wedge between us and the God who would forgive us and empower us to triumph over it. If only we would pour out our hearts to Him knowing that He longs to be our refuge.

Frustration

I learnt a valuable lesson yesterday reading “if not for the grace of God ” by Joyce Meyer.

I learnt that we can’t do anything in our power to achieve what we want. I also learnt that when you focus your energy and effort inti something that is doomed to failure, the only possible result is frustration. And what do we do when we frustrated, we keep up trying harder which only produces more frustration.

We don’t attempt anything without asking for God’s help. We lean on Him the whole way through each project. We maintain an attitude that says, “Apart from Him, I can do nothing”

If you are frustrated about timing, lean to pray with the psalmist, my times are in your hands… (Psalm 31:15).

Sometimes when I feel my time is wasted in a particular circumstance, either waiting to see the doctor, waiting to get an alert from the bank, bad electricity, no water and so on…  Yea am not perfect and just human, I get frustrated and disgusted but after reading that inspiring book from Joyce, it changed my perspective to the way I handle my mood when frustrated.

Trust In The Lord And Do Good

Having a place of permanence in the middle of life’s uncertainties and having the assurance of God’s provision are based on two very clear principles: trusting in the lord and doing good to others. When we live by those two commitments, we learn to friend upon God in fresh new ways that bring us refreshment, hope, and new joy.

Be Still And Wait Patiently For Him (Psalm 37:6-7)

First things first, thank you Lord for the gift of life. Good morning my lovely brothers and sisters.

Chill out we hear heaven say to us. Come into God’s presence with dependent, yet confident, patience. But how can we?  We know God will do what is right for us over the passage of time. The Bible is God’s story (His-story),it is the great testimony that He is always faithful to His promises, gracious in His power to redeem, and generous with His love shared with His children. So come into His presence and be willing to be still and patient and trusting and hopeful.

Note To Self Everyday

One thing I want to overcome in my life is the spirit of fear and worry. I try to distract myself most of the time when I start getting worried and scared. But still I see myself back to it.
I stomed on this when I was surfing the net and made it my daily note to self every morning;

Today, with God’s help, no matter what I face, I will let faith and trust be my first response.. Instead of worry or fear.

I don’t mind getting some spiritual advise and guidance from you guys. It will also contribute to my life. Thank you!

His Presence

Sometimes I wonder in my thoughts deep down how a man will come to this world to die for my sins. I wonder and spruce at the picture of Jesus when I realize God actually came to earth. I cry most times when I get a bit jealous of people who have seen, feel, and experience the greatness of Jesus. That wonderful feeling to be in the presence of the most high in our midst.

I shake my head from those thoughts and realise that Jesus has always been with me throughout my life. It may not be physical, but in my heart and in the spirit I feel His presence.

I don’t know what you facing now, but you have that doubt in your life that Jesus doesn’t exist because of the difficulties you are facing, or probably feel He has left and forsaken you? My brother,  My sister, I don’t know why am writing this,  but am here to tell you that Jesus is Alive!!! He knows what you going through,  believe in Him and feel the mighty presence in your life. Don’t be too busy to pray, that is the means we have to communicate with the Father. Don’t be too busy to study the word of God. And please always be thankful!!!

I celebrate you guys..

Believing What You Don’t See

Can you trust what you don’t see?  Of course! What kind of question is that?  Our lives depend on what we cannot see- things like gravity and the air we breathe, just to make two. Faith in Jesus is as natural as faith in each of those things. The problem is that our hearts are skeptical. We find it hard to believe that anyone divine would love us so much. Our experience says, “if it seems too good to be true, it is”. That skepticism is just the trusted form of the response God longs to see from us.

Inexpressible and glorious joy. I don’t know about you, but I’ve tasted both. I prefer joy over skepticism.
